I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Declan’s wedding day at the picturesque King Street Townhouse. Nestled in the heart of Manchester, this venue offered the perfect backdrop for their intimate celebration shared with just 50 close friends and family members. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments, and I’m thrilled to share some highlights from this beautiful occasion.
The morning started with excitement and a few happy nerves as Stephanie and her four bridesmaids began their preparations. The room was a flurry of activity, with last-minute touches and a couple of minor hiccups, but nothing could dampen the spirits or the love radiating from the bride and her entourage. Stephanie’s transformation was nothing short of magical — she looked stunning in her dress, ready to meet her gorgeous groom.
The ceremony, held in an elegant room filled with natural light, was short, sweet, and full of heartfelt emotion. Stephanie and Declan exchanged their vows in front of an intimate gathering, their words bringing happy tears and smiles all around. As soon as they were pronounced husband and wife, the room erupted in applause and cheers.
Following the ceremony, we brought all the guests downstairs for a delightful confetti shower and group photos - the laughter and joy were contagious.
Next, we took a leisurely walk around the block for the couple’s portraits. Stephanie and Declan’s chemistry was palpable, making my job as their photographer a dream. We captured some tender, candid moments that I know they will treasure forever. One of my favorite spots was just down the street, where the urban landscape of Manchester added a unique and modern charm to their photos.
Returning to King Street Townhouse, the couple joined their guests on the South Terrace for drinks. The sun was shining brilliantly, and with the iconic town hall as a backdrop, it was the perfect setting for toasting their new life together with champagne.
After a lovely meal, the time came for speeches. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as loved ones shared touching and humorous stories about the couple. Before the first dance, we snuck upstairs to the rooftop to capture a few more portraits. The cityscape views were stunning, making for some truly magical shots.
Stephanie and Declan’s first dance to Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are" was the perfect end to a perfect day. Their love for each other was evident in every step and every glance. I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of their special day and hope that the photos will allow them to relive these precious moments for years to come.
