Hannah & Gareth - A Festive-Chic Winter Wedding at King Street Townhouse - Manchester Wedding Photographer

Darling, you send me
I know you send me
Darling, you send me
Honest you do, honest you do
Honest you do, whoa-oh

You thrill me
I know you, you, you thrill me
Darling you, you, you, you thrill me
Honest you do

At first I thought it was infatuation
But woo, it’s lasted so long
Now I find myself wanting
To marry you and take you home, whoa-oh
— Sam Cooke

Capturing Hannah and Gareth's wedding last Friday at the charming King Street Townhouse in the heart of Manchester was a truly remarkable experience. Despite Storm Daragh's menacing presence, not a single cloud could overshadow the love and excitement that emanated from the couple and their fabulously sparkly-attired guests.

We began our day at the stylish Dakota Hotel, where Hannah was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The room was filled with laughter, anticipation, and a flurry of final touches. Hannah's choice of a classic, vintage-inspired look was nothing short of stunning. Her gown, a beautiful beaded column masterpiece by Self-Portrait, perfectly encapsulated her elegant style. Capturing those behind-the-scenes moments — the candid giggles, the intimate exchanges — added a personal touch to the narrative of the day.

After capturing the excitement at the Dakota, I made my way to meet Gareth and his groomsmen. Given that Gareth works for Hugo Boss, it was no surprise that the gentlemen were dressed to the nines. Their impeccably tailored suits were a testament to timeless sophistication, setting a refined tone for the day ahead.

The ceremony was a heartfelt affair. There’s something incredibly special about witnessing two people declare their love in front of those who matter most to them. As the couple exited the ceremony, we managed to capture a magnificent confetti tunnel against the backdrop of the iconic King Street Townhouse. Confetti swirled around them, creating a cascade of winter-white that mirrored the joy of the moment.

Moving up to the 6th floor, we were greeted by a captivating blend of festive elegance and contemporary style. The reception room was dressed beautifully for the Christmas season, with twinkling lights and tasteful decorations amplifying the festive spirit. Guests enjoyed delicious canapés and cocktails while overlooking the stunning Manchester skyline, adding an extra layer of magic to the occasion. The just-revealed spire of Manchester Town Hall was an added bonus!

The party that followed was nothing short of spectacular. Great music, laughter, and dancing filled the room. It was a celebration in its purest form — a testament to the happiness and love shared not only by Hannah and Gareth but by everyone present. My pal, DJ Adam Carr kept the dance floor packed.

Reflecting on my time photographing this beautiful winter wedding, I'm reminded of why I love what I do. It's these moments — capturing the genuine emotions and the little details — that truly make a wedding day special. Hannah and Gareth, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your extraordinary day. Here's to a lifetime of love and happiness, unaffected by any storm.
