Photographing Ben and Nathalie's winter wedding at Nunsmere Hall was nothing short of magical, despite—or perhaps because of—the blustery charm that Storm Darragh brought with it. The couple fully embraced the festive season, choosing winter-white decor by Event Cheshire enhanced with twinkling lights and elegant white rose florals. The setting served as a perfect backdrop to their beautiful love story.
Their intimate ceremony was attended by just 64 of their nearest and dearest, which created an incredibly warm and personal atmosphere. As the day unfolded, heartfelt speeches filled the room, highlighting the deep connections shared by all. One of the most touching moments came when Ben received a surprise handmade gift from his Nana, who had sadly passed away a few months earlier. That poignant touch was a beautiful nod to her lasting presence and love.
Every detail of the day was lovingly thought out, reflecting the couple’s vision and the dedication of their families. Nathalie’s mum, Janette, was the organizational powerhouse behind the day, ensuring everything ran like clockwork. From the stunning stationery crafted by Nathalie’s cousin James to the intricate touches that adorned the venue, no detail was overlooked. This was truly a labor of love.
One of the standout moments was when the wedding party braved the blustery winds to capture a sparkler shot that will go down in history. Despite Storm Darragh’s best efforts, their joy and energy shined through, resulting in a photograph that captured the spirit of the day perfectly.
As the night drew to a close and I wrapped up the day's pictures with my amazing partner in crime, videographer Cass, the night was still far from over. Inside, the band Dakota Skies had everyone on their feet, dancing and celebrating the love that had brought them all together.
