Hannah & James - A Family-filled Intimate Sale Town Hall Wedding - Manchester Wedding Photographer
“You make me feel like I’ve swallowed starlight. Like I’m glowing from the inside out and the night sky lives in my bones.”
Saturday mornings don’t usually begin with this much beauty, but Hannah and James’s intimate wedding at Sale Town Hall was quietly magical. As a Cheshire wedding photographer, these smaller, heartfelt celebrations are always such a joy to capture — full of warmth, personality, and love.
They chose to keep things beautifully simple, inviting only their closest family members to witness their vows. The ceremony room at Sale Town Hall is a charming space — full of character and natural light — the perfect setting for a relaxed, love-filled morning.
One of the standout stars of the day was their two-year-old son, Kit, who was given full permission to explore the room as his parents said “I do.” He brought such a lovely sense of spontaneity to the ceremony, toddling from one side of the room to the other, pausing now and then to flash a grin or climb onto a lap. It was real, raw, and incredibly touching — the kind of moment that reminds you why smaller weddings can be so special.
Hannah looked absolutely radiant in a blue silk tea dress — elegant, timeless, and completely her. She carried a bouquet of white tulips, simple and graceful. James couldn’t take his eyes off her, and honestly, neither could any of us.
After the ceremony, we made our way over to Walkden Gardens for couple’s portraits. Nestled in the heart of Sale, this spot is a favourite for many Sale Town Hall weddings, offering quiet corners and soft green backdrops that feel almost secret. Hannah and James were so natural together — laughing, walking hand in hand, and sharing those lovely just-married moments.
For anyone planning a small, meaningful wedding in Cheshire, this one is proof that less really can be more. As a Cheshire wedding photographer, these quiet celebrations full of love and laughter are what it’s all about.
