Charlotte & Sean - A Merry Yet Elegant Knees-Up at Wyresdale Park - Lancashire Wedding Photography

There’s a pervasive myth in the wedding industry that weddings NEED to be planned years in advance. Whilst that does give you the space to perhaps save for the wedding of your dreams and explore all of their options, I as often meet couples who know EXACTLY what kind of wedding they want from the get-go and book it with mere months - or even weeks - to go! The GORGEOUS Charlotte & Sean absolutely fall into the later company and booked in with me - and indeed to the wedding itself - just six months ahead of the big day! Their priorities were simple: an incredible venue, all of their favourite people, great food (fish and chips in a nod to Charlotte’s Blackpool roots!), mini-odes to Wes Anderson and a KILLER soundtrack. On all fronts, they SMASHED IT.

I had never been to Wyresdale Park before - nestled up in the hills just on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. But as I drove up the winding track to this sprawling barn of a wedding venue and saw the gorgeous main house, I was so so excited. With a maze of outbuildings and pathways, courtyards and doorways, Wyresdale Park is a veritable feast for a wedding photographer. And wandering around with this very photogenic couple, I had an absolute ball. Charlotte and Sean are so so in tune with each other, photographing their perfectly curated winter wedding didn’t feel at all like work. We were in a bit of a race against the limited daylight but thankfully we had the beautifully decorated house for a bit of a play later on in the evening after some very emotional speeches and the aforementioned feast.

As day turned to night and their evening guests began arriving, the post-Christmas merriment was abundant and erupted into a full-blown knees-up party.

I had an absolute BALL photographing Charlotte & Sean’s STUNNING Wyresdale Park winter wedding.
