Fran & Alan - A Relaxed DIY Autumn Wedding at Grub in Red Bank - Manchester Wedding Photographer

I should be over all the butterflies
But I’m into you (I’m into you)
And, baby, even on our worst nights
I’m into you (I’m into you)
Let ‘em wonder how we got this far
’Cause I don’t really need to wonder at all
Yeah, after all this time
I’m still into you

Some things just, some things just make sense
And one of those is you and I (Hey)
And even after all this time (Hey)
I’m into you
Baby, not a day goes by that I’m not into you

Capturing Fran and Alan's wedding at Grub on a gloriously sunny October Saturday was an absolute delight. The intimate ceremony unfolded under the twinkling lights of the cinema room, creating a magical ambience for the couple and their 70 closest family and friends. As a photographer, there's nothing quite like witnessing such raw emotion and love in an intimate setting. I love how Grub truly thinks about the setting and how the space can be used by each individual wedding, no two celebrations I capture there are the same!

The ceremony, officiated by their friend Lexi, was warm and filled with laughter and tears as Fran and Alan exchanged deeply personal vows. The bridesmaids bopped down the aisle to Taylor Swift, everyone was having a blast before Fran made her entrance in a STUNNING sequined dress by Rixo. It's always such a privilege to capture moments so unique and significant in a couple's journey together, and this was no exception. The love between Fran & Alan was palpable, and seeing their friends and family envelop them with support was truly heartwarming.

Beyond the ceremony, the day was brimming with personality and thoughtful touches that reflected Fran and Alan's interests and passions. As an accomplished gluten-free baker, Fran ensured that the guests were treated to an extraordinary selection of brownies and cakes, alongside the mouthwatering grazing table curated by Kitch Platters. It was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds!

One of the day's highlights was undoubtedly Grub's famous "Fizzy Quizzy," cleverly customized with a bicycle picture round to honor Fran and Alan's love for cycling. The quiz was a hit, bringing laughter and a bit of friendly competition to the celebration. Bailey, as always, is a hilarious and super-dry quizmaster, keeping everyone on their toes.

After cutting their cheese cake—an unusual and delightful choice for avid cheese lovers—Fran and Alan took to the floor for their first dance. They rocked out to Paramore's "Still into You," and their energy was infectious, setting the perfect tone for an evening of fun and celebration.

As the band (The Pocket Squares!) played and the dance floor filled, I found myself reflecting on what an honour it was to document such a joyous occasion. Days like these remind me why I love what I do, as each wedding is a beautiful tapestry of moments that will be cherished forever. Fran and Alan, here's to a life filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures on two wheels!
