In another round of ‘OMG -I-can’t-believe-this-is-my-job’, photographing Melody & David's wedding on Saturday at Stockport Town Hall was an absolute dream! With just over 40 of their very closest friends and family in attendance, the day felt intimate and deeply personal. The iconic marble staircase of the Town Hall provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony, adding a touch of grandeur to the emotional vows exchanged by the couple from the moment Melody was walked down that staircase by her mother Precious. Melody looked radiant in her minimalist off-shoulder dress from ASOS. Her choice reflected her effortlessly chic style and added a modern twist to the timeless elegance of the setting. David, too, scrubbed up well in his tailored suit, looking every bit the dashing groom as he waited for his bride with palpable anticipation.
The sun shone brilliantly all day, gracing us with perfect weather for capturing their special moments. After the ceremony, we headed to Strines Pond in Marple, a location of great sentimental value as it was the very spot where David proposed to Melody. The golden hour light reflecting off the pond created an ethereal backdrop for the couple's portraits, adding a magical glow to their elation and love. We were even graced with a visit from local families of ducklings and swans! The stillness of the spcae carryign the weight of sentimental value was truly breathtaking.
Our final stop was Fold Bistro in Marple, a cozy and charming venue that set the stage for heartfelt speeches and all-around merriment. The intimate setting allowed the happy couple and their guests to share laughter, tears, and toasts in a warm, welcoming environment. As the sun began to set, the golden hues illuminated the bistro, creating the perfect ambiance for celebrating Melody and David's love story. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it a day to remember not just for Melody and David, but for everyone who attended.
Capturing the unfeigned joy and heartfelt moments was truly an honor, and I feel privileged to have been part of such a beautiful, love-filled day. As Mel and Dave embark on their new journey together, I wish them endless happiness and love.
