Laura & Luke - A Glorious King Street Townhouse Wedding to Kick off 2023 - Manchester Wedding Photography

Aaaaand WE’RE BACK! And of course it’s 11pm and my shoulders are sore and feet are aching - the palm of my hand has that particular imprint of my camera and will only spring back after a hot bath. And I’m sticky and haven’t removed my makeup but after nearly three months without a wedding and the martini is poured and ice cold and I cannot bear to wait a second longer to share this GORGEOUS and giddy and fun and sweet and magical confection of a King Street Townhouse wedding with you. Because after nearly 3 months of slowing down and self-care and brunches and weekends I was CRAVING the excitement and unpredictability and JOY of my job. Because it’s the best job in the world and couples like Laura & Luke make it so. Man oh man, I’m so damn lucky to do this work.

I arrived to lovely Laura and her fabulous and fun ladies (bridemaid Zoe, sister and MOH Emily and mama Aileen) and the throes of prep led by the equally fabulous Yasmin Schwitzer on hair and makeup. There were details and portraits, plans confirmed and then I nipped downstairs to catch up with Luke who was a bundle of (the good kind of) nerves, ready to see their wonderful plans come to fruition. And what a day it became! Because not even the odd rain shower interrupted our fun and conveniently even held off whilst we captured confetti and applause and group shots and portraits in front of the iconic King Street Townhouse.

The day was truly a labour of love as evidenced by the myriad shoutouts during the speeches to all who contributed’s hard work: confetti and favours and even the mama-made cake were all DIY gifts to the happy couple, this wedding was DAZZLING with all the love it contained.

As the day waned and my pal Adam Carr jumped on the turntables to DJ the party into the night, I only saw glee and grins, toasts made and dance moves perfected, even Grandad Cyril and Grandma Jean having a cheeky snog on what was also their 62nd wedding anniversary.

What a perfect celebration of a truly wonderful couple, whom I’ve grown to just adore these past months. I felt so supported, uplifted and trusted throughout the day and I am thrilled to share their sneak peek of what we got up to. THANK YOU so much to the wonderful Hesketh and Frost families for all of their warmth and kindness and to King Street Townhouse and their dynamo team led by Luis & Justyna, I cannot wait to be back next month!

Here’s a little bit of what we got up to…
