Anna & Jack - A Stylish & Sweet Wedding at One Fine Day - Liverpool Wedding Photography

When Anna and Jack first got in touch with me about their wedding plans, I was so excited – they were planning a laid back city wedding with a room filled with so many beautiful and unique personal touches and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Anna and Jack are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

I started at Anna's local salon Riff Raff just on the outskirts of Liverpool, where the bride and her mum were hanging out before the ceremony, and it was so relaxed, because without the bustle of a bridal party, Anna stayed super chilled - something I came to expect and love about her! Anna wore the most incredible 1960s-inspired dress that she MADE HERSELF (!!!), only finishing it in the nick of time the Wednesday before and Jack wore a moss-green tweed suit - that hilariously I matched in my own shootting attire and they looked really perfect. Dispensing with any superstition, Anna and the gals then made their way to the gorgeous new home she and Jack share where Jack and best man Callum were hanging out before the ceremony. There was excitement in the air as the family popped in and out, snacking and chatting before celebrations got underway.

The wedding took place at at the ICONIC St. George's Hall, and was a traditional town hall ceremony. They had a beautiful reading, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then they were showered with confetti. Jack was so teary at the sight of his beautiful bride, it really made everyone so emotional.I loved our walk from St. George's to the reception at One Fine Day, it gave us an amazing opportunity for some gorgeous portraits with the glorious winter sun beaming down and jolly well-wishes from passing Liverpudlians!

The wedding reception took place in the stunning columned function space at the back of One FIne Day, which they’d decorated with SO MANY extraordinary floral arrangements and fairy lights and beer-themed favours, a nod to Jack's career as a brewer. It was so wonderfully personalised.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed drinks at the bar, we wandered around the city doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our wander around the city is is taken down at the docks, the sun shining down and the Liver building just behind. Check it out above!

During the reception they had a lovely meal with friends and family, which everyone loved. For the meal the served a fully plant-based feast, and it was gobbled down in seconds by everyone. Afterwards, the couple hit the dancefloor and the Spotify playlist kept the party going all night. They also had inflatable guitars thrown down from the mezzanine whilst I Believe in a Thing Called Loved wailed, which was a great laugh. I felt so close to these amazing humans by the end of the incredible day and feel so so lucky to have captured such a wonderful wedding day.It went off without a hitch and I had the BEST time.

Here is Anna and Jack’s wedding story.
