Lauren & Joe - An Emotional Sun-soaked Larkspur Lodge Wedding - Cheshire Wedding Photography

Lauren and Joe got married at Larkspur Lodge, which is a converted hall in Knutsford with a beautiful ceremony room and the most gorgeous garden. It was such a happy day and even the weather played ball!

The ceremony was an intimate service in the main ceremony room. Candlelit and greenery-adorned, it felt like the most magical indoor garden you could dream of. During the ceremony the couple incorporated a sand ceremony to represent the inextricable joining of their lives together. It was so unique and perfectly closed off what was an already emotional ceremony.

From there the day stretched out ahead with guests lounging in the gorgeous sunshine, super fun canapes of tacos and tequila shots handed out, an acoustic set by the wonderful Rolling Keys (who also serenaded the ceremony!) and we snuck out for some light breaking and entering during our portrait session. Lauren & Joe made my job SO easy, they’re incredibly natural in front of the camera and their energy complements each other perfectly. I’ve loved so so much getting to know them.

Larkspur Lodge is perfect for couples who want a chilled out wedding, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Knutsford. The venue offers seriously good food – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos. Tis was my first visit back in several years and it was just as I remembered it: beautifully decorated, run to perfection by a stellar events team and large enough to fit all your favourite people but not so big you get lost in it. It’s such a special place!

The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. Lauren & Joe are two of the most genuinely warm and welcoming humans I've been lucky enough to shoot and it was such a beautiful day capturing all of that love and joy. For dinner they had a proper Northern feast of pies, mash and mushy peas followed by a tower of sticky toffee pudding, and the first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going. Not one to hang about Joe was eager to fill the floor with revelers and The Rolling Keys kept everyone up and dancing for hours!

Lauren wore a floor-length gown and Joe wore a three-piece suit and they looked really amazing. Before the ceremony, the happy couple opted for a 'first look' to connect one last time and melt away any jitters It was moving and sweet to see just how thrilled they are to be in each other's company.

I truly had the dreamiest day hanging out with Lauren & Joe and their wonderful family & friends, here’s a sneak peek of what we got up to…
