Hannah & Shaun - A Dreamy Delight of a Liverpool Wedding - Liverpool Wedding Photography
If you’re planning a wedding at 30 James Street in Liverpool, you’ll find tons of inspo from this wedding!
Hannah and Shaun got married at 30 James Street, which is an iconic boutique hotel in Liverpool - and former home of the Titanic’s White Sra Line offices - with a view of the city. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
The ceremony was a legal ceremony in a beautiful room. During the ceremony the couple's gorgeous toddler Frankie joined them for most of the service. It was very sweet, they are the most gorgeous family.
They decorated the room with flowers and tea lights in a very fitting autumnal orange and navy, which I loved. The reception was in the main hall at 30 James Street after a quick turnaround and drinks reception in the rooftop bar – I love this venue because you can totally personalise it. Weddings at 30 James Street are amazing, because the building is just incredible and you literally have the city at your feet!
30 James Street has a really vibrant atmosphere, and is one of the nicest places to get married in Liverpool. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos. I love dhtat Hannah & Shaun were truly up for anything and especially up for showing off their amazing city! I LOVED when we snuck out after dark and shot some epic evening portraits.
The couple had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and a mega rave of a dance party in the evening. Hannah & Shaun are both from Liverpool so we had an absolute ball straight after the ceremony when we hopped into a futuristic Tesla and headed to the docks for some photos in the blustery October weather. They were so spontaneous and we had a ball shooting with the tourists, even running into a fellow bride and groom having their wedding photos! I LOVED spending this time with them, they really trusted me to show off both their love story and their love of the city.
For dinner they had a roast dinner, and the first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going. Hannah and Shaun are big dance music enthusiasts so it was totally fitting that the dance floor was packed about halfway through the N-Trance first dance, totally decked out in glow sticks.
Hannah wore a form-fittng lacy dress from Ava Rose Hamilton and Shaun wore a three-piece suit and they looked really perfect. Every detail was thought of and I loved capturing their close bond and amazing chemistry.
The couple got in touch with me 4 years ago, and their enquiry was really touching. They said they didn’t care about anything except having an epic party, and I loved that they were so relaxed. They actually booked me all the way back in 2018 but due to the pandemic and then the arrival of their son Frankie, we pushed the date back. Saturday was the best culmination of their story and I had an absolute ball capturing it for them. Their day was run to perfection by the incredible team at 30 James Street and I had so much fun exploring this iconic Liverpool building.
I had the BEST day celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Willis and was welcomed so warmly by all of their wonderful family and friends. Here's a little sneak peek of what we got up to!
