Jen & Greg - An Emotional, Floral-themed Palm House at Sefton Wedding - Liverpool Wedding Photography

Living in the UK, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of not exploring much further than about a 20-mile radius. But, like everything, when you limit your world-view, limit yourself to just your comfort zone you can miss out on marvels just beyond that 20 mile radius - or 50 miles, 100 miles…I grew up in a tiny town in Vermont where my daily commute to high school was 30 miles. Living in Manchester for the past 10 years I can sometimes get a little too comfortable with what’s right here. Manchester itself is SUCH a vibrant, BEAUTIFUL city. But 30 miles down the M62 is another city that I’ve been lucky enough to explore a bit thanks to my amazing crazy job - the bold and busy and culture-rich (and super FUN) Liverpool.

Controversially for an adopted Manc - I LOVE Liverpool! The rivalry between these two Northern cities is the stuff of (mainly football-based) legends. And because I didn’t grow up with any athletically inclined prejudices, I make that drive a few times a year for shopping and eating and shopping and art and now, more and more, for work. Of the Liverpool wedding venues I’ve been lucky enough to capture, yesterday’s wedding at the historic Sefton Palm House really takes the cake. And when it’s filled with two such WONDERFUL people as Jen & Greg - the kind of people who are all of the things: beautiful and kind and compassionate, clever and patient and sweet and funny - well that is just one magical wedding day.

I first met the amazing Jen when she and her equally lovely mum Claire visited my stand at the National Wedding Show. Jen & her fiance Greg had actually already enquired to book me for their 2019 Palm House wedding so it was such a lovely surprise when we got to meet face to face and even better when we hit it off immediately! Once they had booked and I finally got to meet Greg at their Crosby beach pre-wedding shoot and I got to hear all about their big plans, I knew that their Palm House wedding would be so so special. And it truly didn’t disappoint! With a killer team of Liverpool’s finest wedding vendors, Jen & Greg’s day was simply perfection…I had the very best time getting to know this truly wonderful couple and am thrilled to share with you their sneak peek. Thank you so so much guys for having me along, here’s a bit of what we got up to!
