Stacie & Luke: A Kid-Friendly Cheshire Wedding at The Mere Golf & Spa

Stacie and Luke got married last summer at the lovely The Mere Golf & Spa, which is an elegant venue in Knutsford. They had their ceremony at St. Mary's & St. John's in Newton-le-Willows, which was just a short drive away. They chose The Mere because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. I love shooting weddings at The Mere because the grounds are completely stunning and the staff is just wonderful. The venue provides so much scope, especially the outdoor area which lends itself so well to a kid-friendly summer wedding.

They decorated the venue with tealights and elegant rose-gold and blush accentes everywhere, because it worked so well with the time of year. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, which was loved by all the guests.

The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with a big fat dance party!

The nicest part of the day was the speeches, because you could really feel all the love in the room. They also had a bouquet toss during the party – it was hilarious!

Stacie wore a stunning mermaid-style gown from Forever & Always Bridal and Luke wore a navy 3-piece suit from Groom Hire Warrington and they looked so perfect. Stacie's’s flowers were elegant roses accented with gypsophilia by Nancy Moon Flowers.

Stacie and Luke got in touch with me in the autumn of 2016 and their enquiry really intrigued me. They said they just wanted to be married, and I loved that they were so relaxed.  They wanted to really focus on spending the time with friends and family and have very few staged photos.

Stacie and Luke’s wedding was so laid back and had such a chilled vibe. Here’s their gorgeous summer day!
