WHAT A YEAR.  Honestly, what an unbelievable way to spend 12 months: hanging out with wonderfully warm and fun couples in beautiful environments and capturing some of their most precious memories.  I always knew that when I began this journey into wedding photography, I was heading towards something special but 2017 and the huge outpouring of support I've received from so many amazing former strangers has been completely overwhelming. 

Being a wedding photographer in that northern sweet spot of Cheshire and Manchester has meant I've been spoilt for choice by the sheer volume of stunning wedding venues and this year I was able to cross quite a few off my bucket list: the raw industrialism and contrast of a Victoria Warehouse wedding, the rustic elegance and magic hour light of Owen House Wedding Barn, the spirit and glamour of a Manchester city centre wedding, returning to my 'home away from home' and hanging out at the always awesome Ashfield House.  And of course, capping the year with a bit of history-making and shooting the FIRST EVER wedding at The Courthouse in Knutsford. 

But what's been the most amazing and humbling experience of all has been the connection..the trust and faith that you extraordinary lovebirds have placed in me to tell a small piece of your love stories and the friendships that will stay with me forever.  Every single one of you incredibly beautiful and kind and generous humans has a place in my heart and I feel so so lucky to have been on this journey with you and hope you'll have me along again as your families grow and change in time - I'm THRILLED to be photographing my first 2017 wedding baby in just a couple of weeks!

Looking ahead, 2018 is sure to be just as epic and emotional and heartswelling and full.  And I'm so so excited to get to know another years-worth of gorgeous families & couples, to capture your memories for you and provide a time machine that will instantly take you back to the day you said 'I do' and remind you of the butterflies & the happy tears, the boogeying & the boozing and everything in between.
